Excellent tips. It is important to have the right tools. I recommend you Trisocial ( http://www.trisocial.com ) they have an extensive suite of apps to customize the fanpages and to do contests and promotions. regards!

All these apps including Wildfire, Shoutlet and North Social are all great tools to creating and manage an engaing social presence. However I see the costs being one of the main hindrances for small or start-up businesses. A trial version at least would have helped.

I have found Wildfire to be very expensive, convoluted and not the most straight forward to setup. They have also been seriously tardy in mobile compatibility which I don’t understand when 50%+ FB users access from a mobile device. We are moving to shortstack as of the new year.
