Please guide me, what I need to fill in the “Destination” field. If given below is the order confirmation page.

/finishGroupBuy.action?isBackToSubDomainUrl=true&scId=26777312&reloginKey=f2eMk27302282PEaKv

The problem is link is dynamic the value after “true&” is dynamic.

Thanks.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I was going through the GA for my company’s site and found that no goals had been set. We are working on a digital marketing plan and I would add a few goals as recommended by you to monitor the performance of the campaign.

I’m still trying to understand what’s the difference between the Goals and the regular analytics data. I mean you can find out how many people stay at your site for 3 minutes or more, you can see how many people reach the thankyou.html page, or how many people has clicked on a play button. Maybe the funnel option is really unique, but can you please tell me this difference? I think i’m doing something wrong or i’m confusing about this tools.

Thank you,

Renan

I was wondering, from where can I view the results of the goals I set?

Glad you like the article Gilbert. You can have a separate conversion rate for unique visitors to sale or visits to sale – the Goal Conversion rates – is actually based on total visits not unique visitors. So you have to take care when multiplying.

For real transactions it’s best to setup Ecommerce tracking in Google Analytics.

What is the usual discrepancy between real transactions (what you actually close) and the goals number?
