Hi Sam – good question – you should create an editorial calendar for promoting long-term “corrnerstone content”, but should also be responsive to day-to-day events so you can gain interactions based around those – called newsjacking by some!

What I gain from my past experience, usually the content will be get much response whenever there is a trending topic/event nearer to date & holds good even after the event/topic is over, but will not that much useful for the readers/users. Should we focus on strategy to promote the old blogs & articles that get published over the web effectively? Need your sincere advice/comments.
