Lead generation’s only best and effective method is using google adwords where you can also use call to action hassle free.

Email personas? Hi David, that’s an interesting question. You hear web design personas talked about a lot, but not email because we work in silos.

It could be difficult to segment by personality, but a general email like this should appeal to different ways of decision making.

Remy over on EmailBlog had this recently based on Bryan Eisenberg’s work:

I think it’s a mistake to focus on one of these, when a longer email or different calls-to-action could work.

– Competitive (logical and fast)
– Spontaneous (emotional and fast)
– Humanistic (emotional and slow)
– Methodical (logical and slow)

One design style is to make the above the fold work for spontaneuous/competitive and below the fold for the methodical and humanistic

Dave

This could help determine the best CTA strategy. I personally can’t stand pushy sales people however, I believe being pushy in email can generate more action.
